Tony Gonsolin Completes Live Batting Practice Wednesday
2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Tony Gonsolin (ankle) participated in live batting practice on Wednesday while recovering from an ankle injury, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports. According to manager Dave Roberts, he still has to get through another bullpen session and more batting practice before beginning a rehab assignment. Gonsolin, 28, had a terrific campaign for the Dodgers last season, posting a 2.14 ERA, 23.9% strikeout rate, and 0.87 WHIP with 16 victories. He hasn't taken the mound yet this season and is probably still a few weeks away from returning to big-league action. When Gonsolin is back, he should be rostered in every format.
