Tony Brooks-James Runs Wild For Falcons On Thursday
5 years agoAtlanta Falcons running back Tony Brooks-James fueled the offense against the Jaguars on Thursday. Brooks-James carried the ball 15 times for 137 yards and two touchdowns in the team's 31-12 win. The undrafted rookie out of Oregon had been used sparingly in the team's previous three preseason games, carrying the ball a total of ten times for 43 yards prior to Thursday's breakout performance. Brooks-James will likely open the season on the team's practice squad with Devonta Freeman, Ito Smith, Qadree Ollison and Brian Hill filling out the running back position on the main squad. However, Brooks-James could be someone to watch throughout the season should there be an injury or two to the team's primary rushers.
