5 years agoUpdating a previous report, Los Angeles Angels second baseman Tommy La Stella (shin) will undergo a CT scan and clinical evaluation on Wednesday after leaving Tuesday's game against the Texas Rangers. He fouled a ball off of his right shin and was diagnosed with a right shin contusion. If La Stella is forced to the 10-day injured list he would miss the 2019 All-Star Game in Cleveland on Tuesday, his first time making it into the midsummer classic. Luis Rengifo would likely be the beneficiary of more playing time at second base if La Stella is forced to the shelf.--Daniel Dobish
