Tommy Kahnle Throwing With Double-A Somerset On Tuesday
1 year agoNew York Yankees right-hander Tommy Kahnle (biceps) will make another rehab appearance on Tuesday for Double-A Somerset, according to Bryan Hoch of MLB.com. The 33-year-old has yet to pitch for the big league club in 2023 after suffering biceps tendinitis before the season began. Kahnle is on the verge of coming off the injured list, and manager Aaron Boone told reporters he could join the team for the weekend series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The former fifth-round pick in 2010 has been a solid arm over his career and posted a 2.84 ERA, 0.63 WHIP, and 30.4% strikeout rate over 12.2 innings last year. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect many save chances for Kahnle, but he might be relevant in hold leagues if he makes his way into late-inning work.
