Tommy Kahnle Signs With Yankees
2 years agoThe New York Yankees have reportedly signed relief pitcher Tommy Kahnle to a two-year deal, according to a tweet from The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal on Tuesday. Rosenthal tweeted the following: "Free-agent reliever Tommy Kahnle heading back to Yankees on two-year deal, source tells @TheAthletic." Kahnle appeared in 129 games for the American League East club from 2017 through 2020 after being acquired in mid-July during the 2017 season from the Chicago White Sox. He most recently pitched for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2022, logging 12.2 innings in 13 appearances and pitching to a 2.84 ERA, a 4.38 FIP, 14 strikeouts, and three walks. He also logged a save and a hold. The veteran will give the Yankees another late-inning bullpen option heading into the 2023 season.
