Tommy Kahnle Lands On DL
7 years agoNew York Yankees reliever Tommy Kahnle was placed on the 10-day disabled Tuesday with right shoulder tendinitis. The former White Sox relief man is 1-0 with a 6.14 ERA in his first full season with the Bronx Bombers after arriving in a trade last season. Kahnle was an integral part of last season’s postseason run after arriving but has struggled early on this season like much of the Yankees bullpen. The 28-year-old underwent an MRI, with manager Aaron Boone hopeful that Kahnle would get back on track soon. In a response to the injury and subsequent DL stint, the Yankees recalled Luis Cessa, who’d recently been sent back down.
