Tommy Hunter Picks Up Third Save
6 years agoAfter Philadelphia Phillies relief pitcher Pat Neshek took the loss Tuesday night and Seranthony Dominguez pitched a scoreless sixth inning, manager Gabe Kapler turned to Tommy Hunter to close out Wednesday's game. Hunter entered the game in the eighth inning, tossing a pair of scoreless innings to pick up his third save of the season. He was perfect, not allowing a single hit or walk, but also not striking out any batters in his 19-pitch performance. While Seranthony Dominguez continues to be the leader for save opportunities, Gabe Kapler continues to prove any pitcher can serve as team closer on any given night.
