Tommy Edman (ankle) is still dealing with some discomfort in his ankle when doing straight-line running, according to The Athletic's Fabian Ardaya. Edman is scheduled for live at-bats next week. The Dodgers placed the 30-year-old on the 10-day injured list on April 30 with an injured right ankle. He's already eligible to return from the IL, but he won't be able to rejoin the big-league club for the rest of their weekend series in Arizona against the division-rival Diamondbacks. Before his injury, the versatile switch-hitter was batting .252/.295/.523 with an .818 OPS, eight home runs, 24 RBI, 19 runs scored and two stolen bases in 111 at-bats. Edman is on pace for a career-high in homers and he should continue to be productive in runs and RBI when he returns to L.A.
Hyeseong Kim and
Miguel Rojas should continue sharing second base duties while Edman is out.

Tommy Edman (ankle) is unlikely to come off the injured list during this weekend's series in Arizona against the division-rival Diamondbacks, according to manager Dave Roberts. Edman will do some running on Tuesday, and Roberts said his ankle hasn't responded as fast as the team initially anticipated. It's more likely that Edman will return from the IL after next Monday's off day. The Dodgers could use the 29-year-old back with

Kike Hernandez figure to split playing time at the keystone in L.A. Edman is on pace for a career-high in homers after already hitting eight in 30 games in 2025 before his injury. It's possible he's back for the series opener on May 13 against the Athletics.

Tommy Edman (ankle) is heading to the 10-day injured list, retroactive to April 30, after suffering an ankle injury on Tuesday earlier this week. It was reported that he "tweaked" his ankle during Tuesday's game, and it didn't seem too serious, but he will now be out for several games in the short term with right ankle inflammation. The 29-year-old was slashing .252/.295/.523 with eight home runs, 24 RBI, 19 runs scored, and two steals over 30 games before the injury, so there is a good amount of production and versatility that the Dodgers will be missing. Hyeseong Kim coming up from Triple-A to replace him. Kim had tallied a .252-5-19-22-13 stat line over 28 games, and had made starts at second base, shortstop, and center field, so he can also provide versatility.

Tommy Edman (ankle) remains absent from the team's starting lineup for Friday's series opener against the hosting Atlanta Braves. Edman sat out of Wednesday's series finale against the Miami Marlins after tweaking his ankle on Tuesday and won't be back on Friday despite having a scheduled off day on Thursday. The 29-year-old's injury isn't considered very serious, though, and manager Dave Roberts said he expected Edman to return in one of the first two games of this weekend's series. Fantasy managers will want to check back on Saturday to see if he's active. Veteran
Miguel Rojas will start at second base again and will hit ninth on Friday against Braves right-hander
Grant Holmes. DFS gamers should look elsewhere, as Rojas has very little fantasy upside at the bottom of the lineup. He's gone 12-for-44 (.273) this year with no homers, two RBI and two runs scored as a backup infielder.
