3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals second baseman Tommy Edman is slotting in at No. 6 in the team's batting order for Tuesday night's game against Daniel Lynch and the Kansas City Royals. Edman, who was the team's primary leadoff hitter last season, batted ninth in each of the team's first three games this year. He had a strong opening series against the Pittsburgh Pirates, going 3-for-9 with a home run and two walks, so the team may be rewarding him by moving him up in the lineup. Edman's fantasy value in 2021 came from his 30 stolen bases and 91 runs scored. He'll struggle to reach anything close to 91 runs when he's hitting near or at the bottom of the lineup. We'll see if he can secure a more prime lineup spot or if he can salvage his fantasy value by continuing to be active on the base paths.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
