Tommy DeVito Earns Another Start, Not A Great Fantasy Option
12 months agoNew York Giants quarterback Tommy Devito played well enough to earn another start in Week 14 against the Green Bay Packers, despite a return to practice for veteran Tyrod Taylor (ribs). In a lost season, the Giants coaching staff is opting to see if they have a future backup quarterback on their roster in DeVito. The undrafted rookie is 2-1 in his three starts but wins don't translate into success for fantasy football. Only against Washington, the worst defense against fantasy quarterbacks, has DeVito topped 200 yards and two scores. It's also the only start in which he didn't log a turnover. Expect some more mistakes in the primetime lights of Monday Night Football. DeVito is outside of the top 24 in the rankings this week and should only be considered in 2QB leagues.
