Toronto Maple Leafs center Tomas Plekanec scored for the first time since Feb. 22, his last appearance with the Montreal Canadiens. His first with the Maple Leafs put Toronto on the board and tied the game in the first period of Thursday’s Game 4. This marks consecutive games that Plekanec has found the score sheet since being promoted to fill Nazem Kadri’s spot on the second line. Leafs fans will be happy with his response, as many were calling into question the acquisition of the veteran and the price paid to get him. The line of Mitch Marner, Patrick Marleau and Plekanec has accounted for three of Toronto’s last five goals. Kadri is eligible to return from his suspension in the next game, so keep an eye on where this leaves Plekanec. He likely won’t hold any DFS value outside of a top-six role.--Kevin Acorn
