Washington Capitals right wing Tom Wilson reached double figures in goals already in his 15th game of the season, scoring the game-winner in Friday's 2-1 success over Buffalo. Chandler Stephenson scored a shorty for the Caps. Wilson has cooled down considerably in recent weeks, but he still keeps impressing with his play. Only Auston Matthews, Alex Ovechkin, and Jeff Skinner have scored more goals per game than him. The Caps play again on Saturday and they'll face the Senators, who have the worst defensive record in the league, so Wilson is in a great spot to put another one on the board.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Washington Capitals right wing Tom Wilson scored the game-winner during Thursday's contest against the Carolina Hurricanes. This victory clinched Washington as the top seed in the Eastern Conference. Wilson found the back of the net in the second period on a wrist shot. This outing extended Wilson's point streak to two games. Over his last 12 games, Wilson has tallied nine points (four goals) and added 23 penalty minutes, 36 hits, and 19 shots on goal. Through 77 games this season, the 31-year-old has enjoyed another productive campaign, scoring 33 goals and adding 30 helpers. Wilson has also logged 224 hits, 163 shots on goal, and added 64 blocked shots, which gives him value in category formats. Fantasy managers should expect Wilson to remain in a top-six role.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

Washington Capitals right wing Tom Wilson (face) exited Tuesday's contest early after being struck in the face by a puck. Wilson has a "huge gash on his upper lip" and will likely need "repairs." Before exiting the game, Wilson logged just over 15 minutes of ice time and tallied two helpers. He logged one blocked shot and one shot on goal. Fantasy managers should monitor his status leading up to their next game on Thursday evening against the Los Angeles Kings. Over his last five contests, Wilson has tallied at least one point in each game. During this span, he has scored three goals and added six helpers. Through 64 total games, Wilson has tallied 54 points with 16 of them coming on the power-play. If Wilson were to miss time, Aliaksei Protas would likely move up to the top line.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

Washington Capitals right wing Tom Wilson (illness) is expected to return on Saturday when the Capitals face the Tampa Bay Lightning. Wilson was unable to suit up in their previous contest on Thursday evening with an illness. However, the 30-year-old was able to log a successful practice session on Friday, suggesting he is past this illness. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status in case he faces a setback. Over his previous eight contests, Wilson has found the back of the net six times and added four helpers. During this stretch, he has held a +4 rating with 17 shots on goal, 22 hits, and three blocked shots. Fantasy managers should expect Wilson to return to his typical spot on the second line alongside Pierre-Luc Dubois and Connor McMichael.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

Washington Capitals right wing Tom Wilson (undisclosed) will be evaluated before Sunday's contest against the Edmonton Oilers and could sit out. Wilson logged just over 12 minutes of ice time during their 8-3 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday afternoon. Despite the limited playing time, the 30-year-old made an impact as he found the back of the net, logged four hits and one block, and held a +3 rating. If Wilson were to sit out on Sunday, Jakub Vrana would likely enter the starting lineup. Over his previous six games, Wilson has enjoyed an offensive surge as he has found the back of the net five times and added three helpers. During this stretch, he has logged 16 hits and three blocks. Vrana would likely have a bottom-six role if he draws into the starting lineup.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
