4 years agoWashington Capitals right wing Tom Wilson left Friday's 4-3 shootout victory against Buffalo early with a lower-body injury. He collected an assist and had four shots and one block before leaving in the third period. Wilson's injury is another blow for the Capitals, who are already without Alex Ovechkin and Evgeny Kuznetsov due to the NHL's COVID-19 protocols. The 26-year-old bruiser is listed as day-to-day for now. He was playing great before getting hurt, racking up six points in the past four games.
