Tom Wilson Finally Breaking Out For Capitals
7 years agoWashington Capitals forward Tom Wilson potted his third goal and sixth assist of the postseason last night in a 6-2 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning to give him nine points in 11 postseason games this year. The 24-year-old bruiser was drafted in the first round of 2012 as a scoring power forward who can hit, and while he certainly has the second part down, we're finally seeing the scoring prowess the scouts expected from him. Wilson remains a threat to score as long as he's on the top line with Alex Ovechkin and Evgeny Kuznetsov, and it will be interesting to see if 2018-19 is finally his breakout year.
