Tom Hoge Tries To Keep Momentum Rolling In Hawaii
7 hours agoTom Hoge did not enjoy his experience at the Sony Open last year. The American golfer missed the cut after an opening round 72 set him too far back in the field. It was one of only six cuts he missed in 30 tournaments. Hoge did not win in 2024 but he had four Top 10 finishes. Last week, Hoge scrambled his way inside the Top 10 (T-8th). After an opening round 64, he could not come close to duplicating that hot putter (68-68-69). Still, Hoge ended up gaining 0.787 strokes due to putting. Putts per round is interesting with the golfer. He starts well (28.46) and ends well (28.41) but loses around half a putt per round in the middle is problematic. Hoge must keep shots on line to increase his birdie chances beyond Round 1.
