Tom Brady Expected To Play Thursday Against Eagles
3 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady (thumb), who got in two limited practices this week, is fully expected to play Thursday against the Eagles. Brady's status for the contest was never really in doubt, as he was able to play through the injury to the tune of five passing touchdowns and over 400 yards through the air last week. The veteran passer won't be 100 percent against Philadelphia but should still look mostly like the quarterback who has thrown for a league-leading 1,767 passing yards and 15 touchdowns, second in the NFL. Brady faces an Eagles defense that has been solid against the pass this year but struggled against a Cowboys offense with weapons similar to the ones Tampa Bay possesses. Brady should be viewed as a solid QB1 this week.
