Todd Gilliland's Las Vegas Weekend Off To Rough Start
9 months agoThings haven't been smooth for Todd Gilliland and the No. 38 Front Row Motorsports team in Las Vegas this weekend. At the start of practice on Saturday, Gilliland had trouble starting his car and then once he did finally get out on track, he ended up brushing the wall on the first lap. The damage wasn't major, but it was still a setback for the third-year driver. Gilliland ended the practice session with just the 35th-fastest lap time out of 37 cars, but he improved a little bit in qualifying and will start from 31st when the Pennzoil 400 goes green. At $5,900 on DraftKings, Gilliland has limited upside but can be one of the lower-dollar guys to round out your lineup without much risk. Still, his average finish of 29.2 on the 1.5-mile intermediate tracks last year in no way points to Gilliland being a slam-dunk DFS pick this weekend even with his high starting position.
