1 year agoLast weekend in the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Todd Gilliland disappointed some fantasy owners when he walked away with a 33rd-place finish. However, it shouldn't have been too surprising because he was racing the #51 Ford for Rick Ware Racing--a significant downgrade from his 'normal' ride in the #38 Ford for Front Row Motorsports. He's back in his normal car this weekend, though, the same race car that is averaging a finish of 18.9 with this season. The NASCAR Cup Series is racing at Gateway this weekend, the same place where Gilliland started and finished 22nd at last season. He will roll off the starting grid from the 28th-place starting spot for Sunday's Enjoy Illinois 300 race. He was 21st-fastest during the practice session, so there is definitely some upside there for Gilliland.--Jordan McAbee
