Todd Frazier Won't Be Starter Upon Return
6 years agoAs expected, the New York Mets will not name corner infielder Todd Frazier the starting third baseman upon his return, manager Mickey Callaway told reporters on Monday. The 33-year-old hit .213 in 115 games last season, hitting 18 home runs and knocking in 59 runs. When he returns from his left oblique strain, he'll split third base duties with J.D. Davis and Jeff McNeil, who is hitting .383 through 14 games. At this point, Frazier appears to be a fantasy non-entity, as his chances to gain a starting role appear quite slim at the moment.
