Titans Release Harold Landry III
1 month agoThe Tennessee Titans released pass-rusher Harold Landry III on Friday, a source tells ESPN's Adam Schefter. The Titans signed Landry to a five-year, $87 million contract in 2022 but will release the outside linebacker this offseason to save $10.9 million against the 2025 salary cap. That figure will increase to $17.5 million if the team designates him as a post-June 1 cut. The 28-year-old led Tennessee's defense in 2024 with nine sacks and also had 15 tackles for loss and 15 QB hits in his 17 starts. He has three straight years with at least nine sacks, including a career-high 12 in 2021, so he will receive plenty of interest on the open market. Landry's 83.1 percent of the defensive snaps played led the team's linebacking corps. He was given permission to seek a trade at last week's NFL Combine, but nothing materialized.
