Titans Draft Speedy Running Back Darrynton Evans
Darrynton Evans. Evans is fast -- he ran a 4.41-second 40-yard dash at the combine -- and should complement power-back Derrick Henry nicely in Tennessee's run-first offensive attack. Evans is a one-cut running back with solid explosiveness and excellent vision to find the hole. Henry will still be the lead dog, but after handling 303 carries last season, Evans could share some of the load. The Titans have been one of the most run-heavy teams in the NFL, so expect Evans to go early in rookie-only dynasty league drafts. He'll be a must-own handcuff to Henry.

Dolphins Elevate Darrynton Evans
Darrynton Evans was elevated from the practice squad to the active roster, the team announced. Evans spent the first half of this season with the Bears, totaling a career-high 105 rushing yards, 49 receiving yards, and one touchdown. His promotion to Miami's active roster suggests that there's a real chance De'Von Achane (knee) or Raheem Mostert (ankle, knee) will not play on Friday. Fantasy managers invested in this backfield should check back for updates on the Dolphins' final injury report Thursday afternoon.

Darrynton Evans Scores First Touchdown This Season
Darrynton Evans found the end zone for the first time this year on Sunday night, finishing with four carries for 18 yards and a rushing touchdown. He also added three catches for 22 yards on four targets. With Khalil Herbert (ankle) on IR, there was an opportunity for touches in the Bears' backfield. Evans ended up with fewer touches than both Roschon Johnson and D'Onta Foreman, but he managed to find paydirt and had the best game in the running back room. The 25-year-old had the most yards of any running back and should remain in the mix in some capacity until Herbert returns. The Bears take on the Saints in Week 9, who allow the fifth-fewest points to running backs this season. While Evans is likely to have some role, his matchup combined with an uncertain role should keep him out of fantasy lineups.

Darrynton Evans Inks Deal With Bills
Darrynton Evans signed an undisclosed deal to join the Buffalo Bills on Tuesday. Evans was selected by the Titans in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft but battled injuries in his two seasons with the team before being released. In six games with the Chicago Bears last season, the 25-year-old rushed 14 times for 64 yards and caught one pass for 33 yards. Ultimately, the Bills just needed another running back on the roster after Nyheim Hines suffered a season-ending knee injury off the field. It would be surprising if Evans enters the fantasy radar in 2023.

Darrynton Evans Signs With The Colts
Darrynton Evans inked a one-year deal with the Colts. Tennessee selected him in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft. However, he hasn't done much since then, appearing in just 12 games for the Titans and Bears in the last three seasons and totaling 125 yards off 30 carries. Of course, Jonathan Taylor is the No. 1 option on the Indianapolis depth chart. But unless Taylor gets hurt, Evans won't receive much work, assuming he's on the roster come Week 1.
