2 years agoCardinals pitching prospect Tink Hence made his first start of the 2023 season with the High-A Peoria Chiefs. He went four innings deep, striking out six batters and allowing just one hit. The 20-year-old was lights out in 2022, with a 1.59 FIP and a 41.5% K rate in 52 Low-A innings. Hence mixes an elite mid-90s fastball with a plus curveball, changeup, and slider to create one of the best arsenals in the minors.
