Timothy Liljegren Set For Season Debut On Saturday
2 years agoToronto Maple Leafs defenseman Timothy Liljegren (groin) is expected to make his first appearance of the season in Saturday's clash with Boston. He has started the campaign on long-term Injured Reserve after undergoing hernia surgery before training camp opened. Liljegren had a conditioning stint in the AHL last week, which was a sign that he has now fully recovered from the procedure and is ready to help the Maple Leafs get their season going. The 23-year-old produced a solid 23-point year in 61 games last season, and he is expected to make another big step forward in his development in 2022-23.
