Tim Patrick Has "Something To Prove" After ACL Injury
1 year agoDenver Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick (knee) said he's not planning on returning full force from the ACL injury he suffered in August of last year. "I've always got something to prove," Patrick said. "I think my whole mindset is just being a better version of myself. I see some of the stuff you guys say and handicap your first year (after injury) and then second year is the best year. I throw all that [stuff] out the window." Patrick, a 2017 undrafted free-agent signing, had gained over 700 yards and scored five or more touchdowns in 2020 and 2021 before heading into the 2022 offseason as a fashionable fantasy sleeper candidate. With offensive guru Sean Payton coming in as the Broncos' new head coach, Patrick is once again on the radar as a possible breakout, but he will have to hold off KJ Hamler and rookie Marvin Mims Jr. for the WR3 spot.
