Tim Anderson Slashing .311/.350/.419 In June
3 years agoChicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson has been racking up the hits all season and has especially been productive in June. He has a .295 batting average on the year and a .311 batting average through 18 games in June. His power numbers have been lacking a bit all year as he has a .418 slugging percentage on the season to go along with just six home runs over 59 games. He had a slugging percentage over .500 each of the last two years, when he hit a combined 28 home runs over 172 games. His hard-hit rate this year is at a career-best clip (42.9%), but his average launch angle (2.2 degrees) and barrel rate (5.4%) are both down significantly from last year. The power numbers this year may end up disappointing overall, but he should still give fantasy managers a big boost in stolen bases (of which he already has 13) and batting average.
