Tim Anderson Hit By Pitch Monday, Day-To-Day
1 year agoChicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson (forearm) exited Monday's 5-1 win against the Yankees in the eighth inning with a bruised left forearm, per the team's Twitter page. Anderson was hit by a pitch in the third inning but was eventually removed, going 0-for-2 with two strikeouts. X-rays came back negative and he is day-to-day. The 30-year-old has had a very disappointing season, slashing just .242/.285/.290 with one home run, 19 RBI, and 11 stolen bases over 379 plate appearances. He has dealt with a number of injuries and was recently suspended six games for the part he played in an on-field brawl against the Guardians. Given all of this at this point in the season, fantasy managers should be looking for other options at shortstop.
