Tigers Sign Trevor Rosenthal To Minor-League Deal
2 years agoThe Detroit Tigers have agreed to terms on a minor-league deal with right-hander Trevor Rosenthal. The 32-year-old will receive an invitation to Spring Training and a chance to earn a roster spot in Detroit. Rosenthal hasn't pitched since 2020, but he was solid during that season. He posted a 1.90 ERA with 38 strikeouts and only eight walks with 11 saves in 23 games between the Kansas City Royals and San Diego Padres. He could very well work his way into high-leverage situations quickly in Detroit. The Tigers don't exactly have much competition at closer. Rosenthal will be someone worth watching during Spring Training.
