Tigers Agree To Minor-League Deal With Matt Wisler
2 years agoThe Detroit Tigers have reportedly signed relief pitcher Matt Wisler to a minor-league deal, per a tweet from The Detroit Free Press' Evan Petzold on Monday morning. Petzold tweeted the following: "Sources: The #Tigers and right-handed reliever Matt Wisler have agreed to a minor-league contract with a non-roster invitation to spring training. Details not finalized yet. Wisler, 30, posted a 2.25 ERA with 14 walks and 35 strikeouts in 44 innings for the Rays last season." As of now, Detroit's current bullpen options on the team's 40-man roster include the likes of Alex Lange, Jason Foley, Will Vest, Tyler Alexander, Jose Cisnero, and Rony Garcia.
