Tigers Designate Zach Logue For Assignment
2 years agoThe Detroit Tigers designated pitcher Zach Logue for assignment on Saturday, per a tweet from the team's official public relations Twitter account. The 26-year-old was designated for assignment by the Tigers on Saturday to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for infielder Tyler Nevin. Nevin was acquired in a trade for cash considerations from the Baltimore Orioles. Logue made 14 appearances for the Oakland Athletics this past season, 10 of which were starts. He pitched to a 6.79 ERA and a 5.76 FIP in 57 innings in those 14 appearances for the American League West club, to go along with 42 strikeouts and 20 walks allowed.
