Tiger Woods Chasing Elusive 15th Major At Carnoustie
6 years agoTiger Woods heads to Carnoustie for this week's Open Championship in an attempt to win his 15th major championship. Unbelievably, it has been a decade since Woods last captured a major at the 2008 U.S. Open. The time since that win has been marred by injuries and scandals. Woods has three Open Championships to his credit and is the healthiest he's been in years. The Carnoustie layout should be a great match for his game in its current form, as Woods ranks sixth in strokes gained: tee to green and third in strokes gained: approach. He carries a very reasonable $8,900 DraftKings price tag this week and will be a popular play. His experience in Open Championship conditions will be a valuable asset in what might be Woods' best chance to capture another major championship. In his two previous trips to Carnoustie, Woods finished T12 in 2007 and T7 in 1999.
