7 years agoColumbus Blue Jackets left wing Thomas Vanek (owned in 15 percent of Yahoo! Leagues) joined left wing Nick Foligno (32 percent) on the second line with center Alex Wennberg (19 percent) during Wednesday's practice, according to Aaron Portzline of The Athletic. Vanek is set to make his debut as a Blue Jacket after they acquired him from the Vancouver Canucks at the trade deadline. He now sits second on his new team with 41 points and could provide a boost to their 30th-ranked power play. Foligno has missed the last four games with an LBI and could return Thursday against the L.A. Kings. Vanek is expected to get a crack at the top power-play unit and could be a sneaky pickup in your fantasy league if he manages to up the success rate from a pitiful 15.4 percent.--Barry Miles
