Thomas Vanek Has Two-Point Night Against Blues
6 years agoDetroit Red Wings left wing Thomas Vanek was involved in two goals on Wednesday against the Blues, opening the scoring himself and assisting Andreas Athanasiou on the team's second goal in an eventual 4-3 win. Vanek has had it tough this season, as he's not getting many minutes and he's currently skating on the fourth line, but the former 40-goal scorer has shown some signs of life lately, notching four points in four games. He has nine points in 17 games for the season, so he's picked up the pace quite a bit. Vanek will look to continue his success against the Bruins next. He has 70 points in 66 career appearances against Boston, scoring 34 goals, which is by far the most he's had against any opposition.
