Thomas Pieters Offers Little Upside At The Open
1 year agoThomas Pieters is likely entering The Open with some confidence, following his T6 finish at LIV Golf London two weeks ago. It was his best performance and first top-10 finish since joining LIV back in February. But fantasy managers shouldn't expect similar results for the Belgian native and world No. 73 at Royal Liverpool this week. In the 10 major events Pieters has played in since 2021, he has three missed cuts and has yet to post a finish inside of the top 25. His statistics entering the week are equally middling, ranking 36th off the tee, 65th on approach, 47th around the green, and 77th in putting over the last 50 rounds. He has made the cut in his last five Open appearances, but fantasy managers seeking upside should look elsewhere in the lower-$7,000 price range on DraftKings.
