Thomas Greiss Posts Second Consecutive Shutout
4 years agoDetroit Red Wings goaltender Thomas Greiss carried his side to a 1-0 shootout victory on Saturday against Tampa, recording his second consecutive shutout. Detroit got outshot 33-15 but the German veteran was sharp throughout the contest and picked up his seventh victory of the season. Greiss had only two wins for the year before last month. He has registered a 2.73 goals-against average and a .911 save percentage. The Wings finish off a back-to-back set against Tampa on Sunday and will have another one starting Friday to close the season versus Columbus.
