This Was A Season For What Could Have Been For Collin Morikawa
2 months agoPerhaps the most successful season without a win is the easiest way to sum up the 2024 season for Collin Morikawa. The 27-year-old compiled two runner-up finishes, eight top 10s, and 16 top 25s over his 21 starts. His final-round performance ultimately kept him out of the winner's circle, ranking 107th in round four scoring average (70.47) for the season. It's a frustrating part of the game, but one that tells us he isn't far off from getting back to the dominant player from just a couple of years ago. He heads to the Royal Montreal Golf Club for the President's Cup in two weeks to help the U.S. Team continue its dominance over the International squad, boasting a 6-4-1 record in three previous team appearances. He isn't nearly the most dominant force on the American squad, but Captain Jim Furyk will certainly rely on the veteran's strong play in 2024 and needed experience to help settle in the new faces in this year's group.
