6 years agoDetroit Lions running back Theo Riddick caught nine of 12 targets for 47 yards in a 30-27 loss to the 49ers on Sunday. For the second week in a row, the Lions were playing from behind for a majority of the game, forcing them to all but abandon the run game and focus on passing. This script allowed Riddick to be heavily involved, as Detroit attempted to comeback from a 17-point deficit in the fourth quarter. Now with 14 receptions through two games, Riddick is ranked sixth in the league for receptions by a running back. However, he didn't receive any carries in the game, so his usage is still strictly relevant to PPR formats as the season progresses.--Steve Janik - RotoBaller
