Theo Maledon Goes Off For Career-High 33 Points
4 years agoOklahoma City Thunder guard Theo Maledon went off for a career-high 33 points in Friday's loss to Phoenix. Maledon was a model of efficiency, shooting 10-for-18 from the field, 5 of 7 from deep, and 8 of 10 from the free-throw line while chipping in five rebounds, three assists, and a steal in 31 minutes. The 19-year-old was already seeing an increased workload with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (foot) sidelined- but the recent absences of Luguentz Dort (head) and Darius Bazley (shoulder) have opened up even more touches in the Thunder offense, which Maledon seized on Friday. With Gilgeous-Alexander expected to be out until at least mid-April, Maledon may very well have more games like this one.
