The Case For Corey Heim In DFS At Kansas
7 months agoTruck Series regular Corey Heim will start 20th in Sunday's AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway. Heim, who is in his second week of relief duty for the injured Erik Jones, did a respectable job last week at Dover in what was his first-ever Cup start. After starting 32nd, the 21-year-old managed his Legacy Motor Club Toyota Camry well enough to earn a 25th-place finish, scoring 28.1 DraftKings points on a salary of just $5,800. Given that he once again has a starting position that provides place differential upside, at the low salary of $5,900, Heim makes for an appealing salary-saving play in DFS. Beyond last week's promising performance, his history at this track in the Truck Series is also reason to be optimistic about the future Cup star heading into this race. In four Truck starts in The Sunflower State, the Marietta, GA native has two top-five finishes, three top-10s, and an average overall finish of 11.5. While there is a significant difference between the Cup and Truck Series, we cannot dismiss or belittle someone who has made the most of the opportunities they have been given, which is why Corey Heim is perhaps the best value play on the slate.
