3 months agoDetroit Tigers catcher/first base prospect Thayron Liranzo has caught on nicely with his new organization and was just named Midwest League Hitter of the Week. Since coming over to the Tigers at the trade deadline from the Dodgers, Liranzo is hitting .396/.547/.771 with High-A West Michigan. He has four homers and 13 RBI in 15 games with his new club. The 21-year-old was a centerpiece of the deal that sent starting pitcher Jack Flaherty to L.A. The Dominican Republic native has slotted in as the No. 6 prospect with the Tigers and offers plenty of potential as a catcher-eligible fantasy prospect.
