Thairo Estrada Drills First Career Home Run
6 years agoOne of the more feel-good stories of this 2019 New York Yankees club, utility man Thairo Estrada, had a milestone moment Monday night. Taking on the Seattle Mariners, the 23-year-old drilled his first career home run, a two-run shot in the second that put his club up five runs. Estrada made his Yankees debut late last month as a necessity due to a number of injuries. In eight games playing in the infield and the outfield, he's driven in three runs and is hitting .333, though he's likely to be demoted soon as the club regains injured players.
