Texans Hopeful D'Onta Foreman Will Be Ready For Camp
7 years agoThe Houston Texans are hopeful that running back D'Onta Foreman (Achilles) will be ready for training camp this summer. “No. 1, D’Onta Foreman is going through the recovery phase from his injury last year,” general manager Brian Gaine said, via quotes distributed by the team. “So, we are hoping that he will be back here when we get ready to put the pads back on. So, we will manage that and massage that as we go forward, but the biggest part of that to me is the offseason.” Foreman, a third-round pick in 2017, rushed for 327 yards and two touchdowns in his rookie season but tore his left Achilles in December. With Houston not drafting any running backs, Foreman is slated to split work with Lamar Miller in the backfield, but Foreman's health will be paramount to him potentially breaking out in 2018. There's still a chance he could start the season on the Physically Unable to Perform list.
