Texans Cut Braxton Miller
6 years agoThe Houston Texans have cut wide receiver Braxton Miller. With six receivers vying for five spots, the team had a tough choice to make, ultimately choosing to part ways with Miller, a former college quarterback who had struggled at times to make the adjustment to wide receiver in the NFL. The Texans reportedly explored trade scenarios for Miller, but when nothing materialized decided to cut ties with the 2016 third round pick. He could end up on a wide receiver needy team and carve out a role, but at this point he shouldn't be rostered in anything but deep, dynasty leagues. His departure opens up more playing time in Houston for rookie slot receiver Keke Coutee and likely ensures that both Bruce Ellington and Sammie Coates make the team.
