Terry Rozier Part Of Federal Investigation
21 seconds agoMiami Heat guard Terry Rozier has not been charged with a crime nor has he been accused of wrongdoing at this point, but federal investigators are investigating his play in a game from the 2023 season when he played for the Charlotte Hornets. The NBA confirmed on Thursday that this is part of the same probe that led to the lifetime ban of Jontay Porter, but the NBA also said that it investigated the matter and did not find any league rules that were broken. The game in question took place on March 23, 2023, against the Pelicans. Rozier left after just 9:36 due to a foot issue and did not play in the remaining eight games of the Hornets' season. Since Charlotte was out of playoff contention, Rozier's absence wasn't especially surprising, but the action on his player props from that game has drawn federal attention. At this point, no action has been taken regarding Rozier, but this could be a huge story if it ultimately leads to a suspension or change in limitations and regulations around player props. Stay tuned for more details as the story unfolds.
