Terry McLaurin Leads Washington In Receiving In Week 16
2 years agoWashington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin caught four-of-five targets for 77 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Despite going up against the incredible 49er defense, the 27-year-old had another productive performance. One concerning aspect of this game was Carson Wentz taking over for Taylor Heinicke in the fourth quarter. With Heinicke at quarterback, McLaurin has been much more productive as he's seen many more targets per game. It should be noted that with the former starter returning to the field, he saw only one target on 16 passes. If Wentz starts from now on, it wouldn't be surprising to see a return to the fourth-year receiver's lack of early-season usage that frustrated many.
