Teoscar Hernandez Wins 2024 Home Run Derby
4 months agoLos Angeles Dodgers outfielder Teoscar Hernandez put his power on full display Monday night at Globe Life Field, taking home the 2024 Home Run Derby title. Hernandez was able to edge Bobby Witt Jr. in the final round with 14 HR, becoming the first Dodger to win the event. The 31-year-old hit 49 long balls across three rounds, with his longest measuring 466 feet. Hernandez has provided power from a fantasy perspective throughout his career and is on an excellent pace this season, slashing .261/.327/.475 with 19 HR, 48 runs scored, 62 RBI, and four stolen bases in 402 plate appearances. He should have plenty of opportunities to provide more counting stats in the second half of the season while hitting in the middle of one of baseball's best lineups.
