Teoscar Hernandez Struggling Over His Last Five Games
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Teoscar Hernandez was scorching hot for a 10-game stretch earlier this month. From August 8 to August 18, he compiled eight multi-hit games and hit five home runs. However, he's struggled since then. Over his last five games, he's gone just 1-for-19 with one walk and six strikeouts. Fantasy managers shouldn't be concerned about the brief cold stretch. Hernandez is in the midst of a career-best season. Over 105 games on the year, he's slashing .305/.347/.521 with 22 home runs, nine stolen bases, 84 RBI and 62 runs. He has a career-best 24.8% strikeout rate on the year, down from 30.4% last year. He ranks in the 92nd percentile in xSLG (.531) and in the 91st percentile in xBA (.284).
