Teoscar Hernandez Lands On Injured List With Oblique Strain
3 years agoThe Toronto Blue Jays have placed outfielder Teoscar Hernandez (oblique) on the 10-day injured list with a left oblique strain. The team called up second baseman Gosuke Katoh from Triple-A in a corresponding move. Katoh will be available for Thursday's game against the New York Yankees. Hernandez departed Wednesday's game with what was initially described as discomfort in his left side. He wound up getting an MRI on Thursday that confirmed the oblique strain. It's unclear how long Hernandez will be out at this point, but fantasy managers will be without him for at least the next week and a half. Raimel Tapia stands to benefit most from Hernandez being out. Tapia is batting fifth and playing right field in Thursday's game.
