Tekoah Roby Continues To Struggle At Double-A
4 months agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitching prospect Tekoah Roby has continued to struggle at the Double-A level through the first half of the 2024 season. Through 33 ⅓ innings, he posted a 6.75 ERA, 1.65 WHIP, and a 12:33 BB:K ratio. He then was placed on the injured list at the end of May with an undisclosed injury, which may have impacted his performance through the early part of the summer. Last summer, he held a slightly improved 4.63 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, and a 15:59 BB:K ratio across 58 frames at Double-A. Roby is considered the fifth-best prospect in the St. Louis system on MLB.com and was a contender to reach the majors this season but may have to wait until next summer due to his struggles and the nagging injury.
