Tejay Antone "Most Likely" Will Start 2021 In Bullpen
4 years agoCincinnati Reds pitcher Tejay Antone will "most likely" be used as a reliever to open the season, reports Bobby Nightengale of the Cincinnati Enquirer. Antone has not pitched in a game since March 17, as he dealt with hip and groin injuries. He appears on track though to be ready for the start of the season. Antone looked sharp in his debut last year, posting a 2.80 ERA, 31.9 percent strikeout rate and 11.3 percent walk rate over 35 1/3 innings of work. Fantasy managers will hope that Antone eventually joins the rotation where he can provide greater value, but for now he can be a solid late-round target in SV/HLD leagues.
