Taysom Hill Gets First Preseason Work In Loss To Packers
2 years agoNew Orleans Saints quarterback/tight end Taysom Hill (ribs) finished with one catch for 10 yards on two targets in Friday's 20-10 preseason loss to the Green Bay Packers. He had missed time in training camp due to injured ribs. It was Hill's first preseason action, and most people wondered if he would take any snaps under center. The 32-year-old did not take any snaps under center and only lined up as a pass catcher. Hill is officially listed as a tight end on the Saints' depth chart. Adam Trautman will also be competing for the target share of tight ends. Hill did not attempt rushes, but we know that is a big part of his game. When the season kicks off, Hill will have a much higher ceiling catching passes and running more on designed schemes when the Saints offense is at full speed.
